The Southbury On Line Activities Registration (SOLAR) System

The Town of Southbury Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to introduce the Southbury On Line Activities Registration (SOLAR) System powered by WebTrac. The SOLAR System provides the ability for Town residents to register for activities sponsored by your Town's Parks & Recreation Department. Once you have your username & password you can register for an activity from any location where you have access to the Town website. The SOLAR System allows you to pay directly using your credit card without having to complete any paper forms or travel to the Parks & Recreation facility.

Each Family using the SOLAR System must have a username and password in order to register. Follow the instructions below in order to take advantage of this new service.

What can I do with the SOLAR System:

The SOLAR System allows everyone to:

Browse activity listings.
Search for activities by type, age range, location plus more.
Look up details about any activity (price, dates, times, etc.).

In addition, it allows registered individuals and households to:

Enroll for our classes and activities.
Check on class availability.
Print a transaction history.
Reprint old receipts.

However, the SOLAR System DOES NOT allow you to:

Register individuals from other households.
Register children who do not meet the specific class requirements.
Refund a class (see below).
Transfer to another class.

Please note that:

Not all classes or activities are available for online registration.
To print receipts you must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer.
The only accepted form of online payment is by credit card (VISA & MasterCard).

Program/Activity Policies:

The Town of Southbury Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel classes/activities based on class size, to make other changes as program needs require, and to change, without notice, any of the information published.

Refund Policy:

The Town of Southbury Parks & Recreation Department processes refunds as follows:

If P&R cancels a program for any reason, a full refund will be given.
If a registered participant withdraws from a program prior to the beginning of the program, a $15 fee will be charged.
If a registered participant withdraws from a program after the program begins, no refunds will be given.
Trip refunds: There are no refunds for trips unless canceled by the Parks & Recreation Department. Trips are open to non-residents.

Non-Resident Policy:

Non-residents are allowed to register for classes after a designated date.
Fees are an additional 50% of the program fee.
Class selection is limited for non-residents.
Registration for non-residents excludes camps, swimming lessons and pool passes.

Canceled Classes:

If schools are canceled or closed, classes held in schools will be canceled. For all other cancellations, call the P&R info line at (203) 262-0633 or check the home page of our website.
