Transportation General Information
The Town of Southbury operates two buses to assist in getting around town to doctors appointments, hair appointments, personal care appointments, etc. We also provide transportation to attend to errands and shopping, as well as trips to and from the Senior Center. You must be a resident of Southbury either 60+ years or disabled to ride the bus. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. All appointments must conclude by 3:00 PM. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be made by 12:00 Noon the day prior to a scheduled appointment. Although we strive to fulfill all requests, at times we may not be able to accomodate an individual due to the overwhelming demand. Our buses are wheelchair accessible. All wheelchair riders must be accompanied by an aide as the drivers are not able to assist to and from the vehicles.
Drivers are at lunch from 12:00- 1:00 p.m. (there is no transportation at this time)
The fee is $7.00 for a ticket of 20 roundtrip rides. For more information or to schedule a ride, please call (203) 262-0651.
