A Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Scavenger Hunt is happening upstairs at the Southbury Public Library from Thursday, November 1 to Thursday, November 15 at 4pm during library open hours for Grades 4-12.
21 Fantastic Beasts are hiding upstairs in the children’s and teen departments of the Southbury Public Library; anyone in Grades 4-12 from any town is eligible to participate. For each beast found, participants will fill out a raffle ticket for a chance to win 4 movie tickets to Southbury’s Riverview Cinemas 8 right in time to see Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Interested Magizoologists (magical zoologists) can search for the beasts and fill out raffle tickets anytime during library open hours between Thursday, November 1 and 4:00pm on Thursday, November 15.
Library open hours are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:30am-5:30pm; Tuesday, Thursday 9:30am-9pm; Saturday 9:30am-4pm; Sunday 12-5pm. The library will be closed Tuesday, November 6 and Monday, November 12. All entries must be received by 4:00pm on Thursday, November 15 or they will not count. The winner will be drawn before the Bowtruckle Craft at the Southbury Public Library at 6pm on Thursday, November 15.
Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to participate in and open to anyone in Grades 4-12 regardless of town of residency. This scavenger hunt is sponsored by Riverview Cinemas 8. There is no registration required.
