4/26/2019 - Southbury Arbor Day Celebration

Southbury Historical Tree Restoration Committee announces its 22th annual Arbor Day celebration to be held Friday, April 26th at 8:30 a.m. at the Southbury Police station. This year’s ceremonial planting of a White Fir tree will take place at the northeast corner of the Police Station at the corner of Peter Road and Main Street South. In case of rain, the celebration will take place in Room 205 at Town Hall.

All are welcome to attend the dedication ceremony honoring all of Southbury’s First Responders past and present:

  • Southbury Police Department
  • Southbury Volunteer Fire Department
  • Southbury Ambulance Association
  • Heritage Village Ambulance
  • Southbury Training School Ambulance and Fire Department
  • Connecticut State Police Troop A

The Committee, appointed by the Southbury Board of Selectmen, has served as steward of our trees and with the support of Southbury’s Public Works Department work to replace older declining trees and plant new ones in areas where few are present.
