The Southbury Inland Wetlands Commission took the following actions at their regular meeting held on June 12, 2018 at Southbury Town Hall.
Having considered the factors and circumstances set forth in Section 4 of the regulations and having reviewed all information and reports received by the commission regarding these applications, the following applications were approved.
Application #1625 Chatfield’s; 190 Main Street South; C. Berger, LLC, applicant; approval consist of re-development of a commercial site, including demolishing existing buildings, installing new stormwater management infrastructure and erecting two large commercial buildings with associated parking, with conditions.
Application #1627 690 Main Street South; Southbury Village Square, LLC, applicant; approval consists of creating an annual invasive plant management and passive recreation plan for the riparian areas along the Pomperaug River, with conditions.
Application #1628 Georges Hill Estates Section 2 Lot 22; Britiani Road; Corbo Associates, applicant; approval consists of construction of a single family dwelling and sub-surface septic system with associated grading impacting 1,200 square feet of upland review area including a rain gutter leader drain splash pad, with conditions.
Application Modification #1619-A Southbury Plaza Building #3-Additional Parking; 100 Main Street North; Southhaven Associates, applicant; approval consists of soil excavation adjacent to Bullet Hill Brook and extending the poured in place concrete top cover to the majority of the existing sluice way for Bullet Hill Brook allowing for more parking, with conditions.
Recommendation to the Board of Selectmen for release of bonding for Meadow Lake Estates – Resubdivision of Lot 6 for drainage improvements.
