8/15/2019 - Zoning Board of Appeals: Public Hearing on September 3, 2019 (West Gilbert Rd)

The Southbury Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in the Southbury Town Hall, 501 Main Street South in Room 205 at 7:00 p.m. on the following application:

Application #10781 Anthony Gaglio/owner and Jason Klein/applicant – Applying for the following variance(s) for property located at 215 West Gilbert Road, Zone R-80 and Zone B-4:

  • Under Section 4, Schedule B to allow a portion of the proposed home to be located 9.5 feet from the R-80 Zone line in lieu of the 50 foot requirement placing the home 81.2 feet from the easterly property line;
  • Under Section 9.3.5 to allow a portion of the proposed driveway to be located 15 feet from the R-80 Zone line in lieu of the 50 foot requirement placing the driveway 50 feet from the easterly property line;
  • Under Section 4, Schedule B to allow 12.3% Lot Coverage by buildings and structures on the portion of the property located in the B-4 Zone in lieu of the 10% permitted;
  • Under Section 4, Schedule B to allow a home with a Floor Area of 26% of the portion of the property located in the B-4 Zone in lieu of the 20% permitted;
  • Under Section 4, Schedule B to allow the edge of the proposed pergola to be located within 5 feet of the rear property line in lieu of the 25 foot requirement;
  • Under Section 4, Schedule B to allow the edge of the proposed pool to be located within 5.5 feet of the rear property line in lieu of the 25 foot requirement; and
  • Under Section 4, Schedule B to allow the edge of the proposed pool to be located within 10.5 feet of the rear property line in lieu of the 25 foot requirement.

At these hearings interested persons can appear and be heard and written communications will be received.
