Interested teens in Grades 6-12 are invited to join the Southbury Public Library for one or all of a three part DIY gift series on the first three Mondays in December. All of these will feature fun and easy gifts tweens and teens can make; participants will leave with one completed gift for themselves or a loved one and instructions to make more.
On Monday, December 3 from 4-4:30pm, join us to learn how to make a Gingerbread Body Scrub, perfect for the spa lover in your life (or maybe yourself!). You'll leave with enough scrub for 1 gift and a recipe for more. This scrub is quick, easy, smells great, and is good for your skin.
On Monday, December 10 from 4-5pm, we’ll be making Paracord Survival Bracelets. Paracord bracelets can be worn by any gender, are easy to customize in color, and contain about 8 feet of paracord (also known as parachute cord, a lightweight, strong, and thin nylon rope useful in many situations). You’ll leave with one bracelet you made yourself, and instructions for how to make more.
On Monday, December 17 from 4-5pm, join us to learn how to make a Brownies in a Jar Gift, perfect for the sweets lover in your life (or maybe yourself!). Brownies in a Jar contains all the dry ingredients you need (and instructions) to make a pan of brownies. You'll leave with 1 Brownies in a Jar Gift and a recipe for more.
Like all Southbury Public Library programs, these programs are free to attend and open to anyone in Grades 6-12 regardless of town of residency but registration is required as space is limited. Please call 203-262-0626 ext. 110 to register. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
