7/19/2019 - Learn to Play the Ukulele on August 6, 2019

Interested teens and tweens are invited to join the Southbury Public Library for a fun Learn to Play the Ukulele Class with Julie Stepanek on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 6-7:15pm in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library.

Want to try an instrument that is fun and easy to play? Join Julie Stepanek as she shows the fundamentals of ukulele playing. You'll learn how to tune, strum, and read chords. After a short lesson, you'll be able to play songs! No experience necessary. Bring your own ukulele or borrow one!

Julie Stepanek will be leading this class. She’s a musician and teacher from Western Massachusetts and travels around New England teaching ukulele and performing.

This program is free to attend and open to anyone entering Grades 6-12 (including Class of 2019 high school graduates) regardless of town of residency, but registration is required as spaces are limited. Registration can be made in person at the Southbury Public Library or by calling 203-262-0626 x3. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
