On Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 6:30-8:00pm, in Kingsley Room, join us for this discussion with Lynn Damon as we commemorate the life and work of photographer Georgia Sheron.

Join us for this discussion of the diverse works of Georgia Sheron featuring local photographer Lynn Damon. The Southbury Library's Gloria Cachion Art Gallery is currently exhibiting Ms. Sheron's work, and her "Uncle John" series is on permanent display throughout the library.

Georgia Sheron passed away in late January of 2019 and was greatly respected by critics, peers and the public. Georgia Sheron was a member of Professional Photographers of America and holds their certificate as a Master Photographic Craftsman. Her work graced the cover of Professional Photographer magazine as well as many book covers for Random House and CD covers for musicians.

During the past 30 years of creating fine art portraiture, Lynn Damon has risen to the top of her profession. Her sensitive and unique style has garnered numerous “Best of Show” and “Photographer of the year” awards at salon exhibitions in the U.S. and Europe. She has earned the prestigious, Master and Photographic Craftsman Degrees through the Professional Photographers of America.
