This slide presentation discusses the difference between normal aging and dementia, defines dementia including its various causes, and discusses the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Handouts with space for notetaking will be provided.
Dianne Davis is a graduate of the Yale School of Nursing. She worked for many years with dementia patients and their families as a geriatric case manager at the Adler Geriatric Assessment Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She is a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association and the chair of the New Haven Walk to End Alzheimer's.
