Municipal Building Maintenance

The Facilities organization of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvements to all municipal buildings. These services are coordinated by the Facilities Manager. Facilities staff and support contractors assure that each building envelope (roof, walls, structural components, windows and doors) provides a safe, weather-tight and energy efficient facility in which Town staff can conduct municipal business and provide Town services to residents.

In addition, staff oversee the operation and maintenance of all major building systems encompassing: heating, ventilating and air conditioning including energy management, fire protection and building security, lighting, electrical and plumbing systems, elevator maintenance, interior and exterior architectural features, carpentry and  finishes and access for the disabled. Inside properties also provides janitorial services to all Town buildings. This division is staffed by the Facilities Manager, two Facilities Technicians and two part-time Custodians.
