3/24/2020 - COVID-19 Southbury Update (Code Red Message)

This is Jeffrey Manville, First Selectman for the Town of Southbury. The Town is currently aware of three confirmed positive cases for the Coronavirus.

Therefore, we MUST continue to practice the State’s Stay Safe – Stay Home procedure. If you do not need to leave your house, stay home. Please limit visitors within your home, movement within the community and only go out for necessities. Keep adhering to social distancing guidelines staying at least 6 feet away from others. You should continue these methods to help limit the spread of the coronavirus. This is for your safety and the safety of the community.

There has been discussion about utilizing the CODE RED service to communicate daily information. However, we are reserving this system for extreme emergencies to detract from the system becoming routine, which may diminish the impact of future instructions.

If you are a senior or know of one who is not receiving email notifications and wish to sign up for the Town of Southbury Senior Services robo telephone calls please register at 203-262-0651.

My top priority is to continue to protect all Southbury citizen’s health and safety. Please Stay Safe – Stay Home.
