General Information
The Town of Southbury participates in the Connecticut State Police Resident Trooper Program to provide police services to the town.
A State Police Sergeant supervises the resident trooper program in town. Three police sergeants and twenty one patrol officers respond to all police emergencies within town.
These officers are full-time officers, certified by the Connecticut Police Academy and have received specialized training in such areas as accident reconstruction, DARE, crime prevention techniques, and criminal investigation techniques.
