9/16/2020 - Zoning Commission: Public Hearing on October 14, 2020 (Brewery Regulations)

The Southbury Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the Southbury Town Hall located at 501 Main Street South in Room 205 at 7:30 p.m. for the following applications:

  1. Southbury Zoning Commission, Application to Amend the Southbury Zoning Regulations, Section 1.7, Definitions to add new definitions for the following: “Brewery”, “Distillery”, “Farm Brewery/Farm Winery/Farm Distillery”, “Microwinery”, and “Restaurant-Brewery”.
  2. Southbury Zoning Commission, Application to amend the Southbury Zoning Regulations, Section 3, Permitted Uses by District, Schedule A, Permitted Uses to add Line A-12, Farm Brewery/Farm Winery/Farm Distillery with associated standards to be permitted in all zones subject to acquisition of a Special Exception.
  3. Southbury Zoning Commission, Application to amend the Southbury Zoning Regulations, Section 3, Permitted Uses by District, Schedule A, Permitted Uses to add Lines C-8.5, Restaurant Brewery and C-8.6 Microwinery, Microbrewery, Microdistillery , to be permitted in the B2A, B2B, B2C, B2D, B2E, B2F, B3, B3B and B3C zones subject to acquisition of a Special Exception.
  4. Southbury Zoning Commission, Application to amend the Southbury Zoning Regulations, Section 3, Permitted Uses by District, Schedule A, Permitted Uses to add Line C-16.2, Breweries and Distilleries to be permitted in the M-2A and M-5 zones subject to acquisition of a Special Exception.

At these hearings, interested persons can appear and be heard. Written communications will also be received.
