SOUTHBURY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR NAMED PRESIDENT OF CEDAS
The state’s professional association dedicated to advancing the practice of economic development in Connecticut, CEDAS (Connecticut Economic Development Association), has named Southbury Economic Development Director Kevin Bielmeier as its president for 2025.
SOUTHBURY HOSTED PRESS CONFERENCE ON SBA DISASTER RELIEF FUNDING
A joint press conference was held this month at Southbury Town Hall with Senator Richard Blumenthal, Catherine Marx, District Director, U.S. Small Business Administration, and Jeff Manville, First Selectman, Town of Southbury, to discuss the passage of the American Relief Act, 2025 which has now funded the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Loan Program. With this funding, which required Congressional approval, the SBA can resume processing urgently needed financial relief for those impacted by natural disasters across the nation, including Connecticut’s Presidential Declared Disaster.
