Become a Poll Worker
The Southbury Registrars of Voters always welcome citizens (16 years of age and over) to work at the polls on an election day. Full-day and half-day shifts available. If you’re interested please contact the Southbury Registrar’s office at 203-262-0644 or voterregistrar@southbury-ct.gov.
There are many positions to be filled at the polling sites. Among them:
- Moderator
- Absentee ballot counters
- Assistant registrars
- Checkers
- Ballot clerks
- Tabulator tender
- And other general help

- Friendly atmosphere
All positions require workers to be electors of the state of Connecticut but only some positions require workers to be residents of Southbury. 16 or 17 years old citizens who want to work at the polls must be residents of Southbury.
