10/25/2025 - Green Homes Tour The tour will feature four homes. Two were built to be "Net Zero", meaning they produce all the power they need. Each home showcases a distinct approach to achieving "Net Zero." Both were built to enable the owners to live a greener lifestyle and feature sustainable features beyond energy conservation. One was built to be an age-in-place retirement home. The other two homes feature energy-efficiency improvements the owners made over time to become more energy independent and reduce the amount of energy the home uses. See green features such as induction cooking, energy recovery ventilation, improved weatherization, different approaches to insulation, roof and ground-mounted solar panels, ground-source and air-source heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, EV charging, solar with battery storage, rainwater catchment systems, and local food production. The exact locations will be sent 24 hours in advance. The event runs from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with tours starting every hour from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Choose your locations, times, and the order you want to see the homes.
