4/23/2026 - Community SPARK Exchange Event, Featuring Renowned Historical Artist, Don Troiani

The Southbury Arts & Culture Alliance (SACA), in partnership with the Southbury Public Library, continues its Community SPARK Exchange Series with a special program featuring acclaimed historical artist Don Troiani. Titled “The Art Behind America’s Historic Moments,” this event highlights the powerful intersection of art and history as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026.

SPARK is designed to connect the community with artists and thinkers whose work sparks dialogue, creativity, and cultural reflection. This second exchange places a spotlight on how art can deepen our understanding of America’s past, making it especially timely as communities across the country prepare to commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial.

Don Troiani, a Southbury resident, is one of the nation’s foremost historical painters, widely respected for his meticulously researched and highly detailed depictions of American military history. His work is distinguished by an extraordinary commitment to accuracy and his paintings are featured in major museums and publications.
