11/11/2022 - Veterans Day Poppy Drive and Wreaths Across America Fund Raiser on November 11-12, 2022 American Legion Post 147 will be conducting a Veterans Day Poppy Drive and Wreaths Across America Fund Raiser, 11 Nov and 12 Nov. Locations for the Poppy Drive and Fund Raiser are the Southbury Plaza Clock Tower and the Southbury Green. Funds raised support local American Legion programs throughout the year to include scholarships for Region 15 students, American Legion Boys and Girls State and American Legion State Police Week. This will be the fourth year that the American Legion has sponsored Wreaths Across America. We will be placing a Veterans Wreath on the approximately 585 veterans graves in Southbury.
