5/20/2023 - Southbury's Got Talent - Community Talent Show A Community Talent Show featuring a wide variety of talented individuals from the area, as part of Southbury’s 350th Anniversary Celebration and as a benefit for Southbury Food Bank, Southbury Chapter of Safe Haven and Southbury’s Newbury Musical Theatre Company. Talent was gathered through live and video submitted auditions from many of the towns that comprised “Ancient Woodbury” 350 years ago – Southbury, Woodbury, Roxbury, Bethlehem, Washington, Middlebury, and Oxford. Acts will range from solo and duet singing, dancing, poetry, original songs, and comedy. The event is co-organized by the Southbury’s Newbury Musical Theatre Company, a Southbury-based 501c3 nonprofit, dedicated to promoting the arts in Southbury and the surrounding communities. A portion of the proceeds raised at this event will go to support their upcoming summer productions of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ July 28-30th and Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ July 21 and 22nd.
