9/7/2025 - Southbury Celebration - CANCELLED The Southbury Celebration set to be held on Sunday, September 7 (our rain date) has unfortunately been cancelled for this year due to weather. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution. The deciding factors were the anticipated rain totals through Sunday mid-day and not having enough time for the event field and parking areas to properly dry off in time. Unfortunately, the anticipated weather will not allow us to hold the event in a safe manner for the vendors and the patrons. The Southbury Celebration Committee hopes residents will understand. Parking entrance is off Nutmeg Avenue, accessed via the main STS entrance. Handicapped parking (by permit only) will also be on the STS Great Lawn in a designated area convenient to the field. Drop-off and pick-up area is behind the Gatehouse cottage at the main STS entrance. For safety, no pedestrian walking on Rte. 172 in the event area, due to traffic congestion.
