9/16/2020 - Zoning Commission: Public Hearing on October 14, 2020 (Accessory Apartments Regulations)
The Southbury Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the Southbury Town Hall located at 501 Main Street South in Room 205 at 7:30 p.m. for the following applications:
- Southbury Zoning Commission, Application to Amend the Southbury Zoning Regulations, Section 1.7, Definitions to amend the definition for “Dwelling Unit” and to add a new definition for “Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)”.
- Southbury Zoning Commission, Application to Amend the Southbury Zoning Regulations to delete the current language in Section 3.3.2, “Accessory Apartments” and add a new Section 3.3.2 “Accessory Dwelling Units” to allow Interior, Attached and Detached Accessory Dwelling Units with associated standards.
- Southbury Zoning Commission, Application to Amend the Southbury Zoning Regulations, Section 3, Permitted Uses by District, Schedule A, Permitted Uses, Line A-1.1 to delete existing language and add “Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) subject to the standards as outlined in Section 3.3.2”.
At these hearings, interested persons can appear and be heard. Written communications will also be received.
