In this presentation on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 1-3pm in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library, Stephen Cuddy will lead an interactive workshop on mindfulness, perfect for anyone hoping to enjoy the new year more fully or looking to reduce their stress.
Patrons are invited to join Instructor Stephen Cuddy as he explains what mindfulness is, its benefits, and how to start achieving those benefits today. Mindfulness has been known to reduce stress, depression, anxiety, and pain.
Stephen Cuddy is certified in several National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI) programs. Stephen performs a formal role for employees with disabilities at Pratt & Whitney. He also presents on Mindfulness in the community. Stephen is a founding member of Our Community House where people with difficulties can get peer support. He has been trained in Intentional Peer Support (IPS) and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), both evidence based personal wellness and recovery systems.
