4/24/2018 - Valley Shakespeare Festival to Present Macbeth on May 4, 2018

Get out your kilts and dust off your bagpipes! VALLEY SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL is bringing its annual spring VSF2U tour production of Macbeth to Southbury Library on Friday, May 4th at 7pm in the Kingsley room.

With only five actors playing all the roles, Executive Director Tom Simonetti’s adaptation promises to be swift and intense. Fans of past VSF productions will recognize some of their favorite performers returning for this presentation, including Jeremy Funke, (last seen as Ebenezer Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol”) as Macbeth and Jessica Breda (“Twelfth Night’s” Viola) as his deeply troubled wife, Lady Macbeth. Kristen Kingsley and Mitchel Kawash, long-time fan favorites, will be joined by newcomer Stephen Saxton, rounding out the ensemble. Performers will take on multiple roles for the production, adding to the challenge of this already “haunted” play.

VALLEY SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit professional theater company dedicated to bringing free and low cost theater to the communities of the lower Naugatuck Valley

Registration is required. Call the Southbury Library at 203-262-0626 ext. 130.
