10/9/2019 - The Valley Shakespeare Festival Presents The Two Gentlemen of Verona on November 7, 2019

On Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 7-8:30pm, in the Kingsley Room, the Valley Shakespeare Festival will be returning to the Southbury Public Library to bring us The Two Gentlemen of Verona.

Join us for one of the Bard’s Romantic Comedies to herald in the fall! Valentine and Proteus are best friends until they fall in love with the same girl...rivalry, shenanigans and a "dog" round out this fun, high-spirited comedy performed entirely by only two gents!

The Valley Shakespeare Festival has been presenting free Shakespeare Veteran's Memorial Park in Shelton, CT since 2013. Through its first five-years in existence, Valley Shakespeare Festival has also started the popular Shakespeare in the Bar series, and a touring company that travels Connecticut performing full 70-minute shows.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this presentation is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library. Space is limited and registration is required. Please call 203-262-0626 ext. 130 to register.
