Town of Southbury is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Emergency Dispatcher at the Southbury Police Department. The role involves assigning police, ambulance, fire, and public works resources for both routine and emergency situations. The successful candidate must have the ability to multitask, communicate clearly (both speaking and hearing), and perform data entry tasks.
Hours: Full-time
Compensation: $30.04 /hr. with benefits
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in dispatching or Telecommunicator Certification
- Power Phone EMD certifications
Responsibilities:
- Assigning resources for routine and emergency situations
- Multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule:
- Rotating shifts
- Overnights
- Weekends
- Holidays
