The Town of Southbury continues recovery efforts. Power has been restored to 100% of residents.
Public Works
Public Works crews from around the State continue to help with our efforts to clear trees and debris. This is a tremendous undertaking that will take time. Please do not pile your brush and debris by the roadway. The Transfer Station is open now through Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 7 am to 5 pm. (fees waived for brush and trees from the storm, all other fees apply)
FEMA
In response to the May 15th severe storm, the Town of Southbury is requesting that anyone impacted by the storm fill out the damage assessment forms by May 29th. This process needs to be followed in order to request a Preliminary Damage Assessment from FEMA.
Information and forms are available on our website at southbury-ct.org/2018storm.
Other Communications
Charter and Frontier have assured us that they are in town, evaluating damage and restoring their services.
