The Southbury Emergency Management Team is closely monitoring A VERY STRONG COLD FRONT that IS FORECAST TO CROSS THE STATE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING BRINGING HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG SOUTH WINDS AHEAD OF THE FRONT.
HIGH WIND WARNINGS AND FLOOD WATCHES HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FOR THE ENTIRE STATE.
Heavy rain, 2-3" is expected with potentially damaging winds with gusts up to 60MPH, will be impacting our area overnight. Heavy rain coupled with snow melt may also cause flooding in some areas.
Power outages are expected as well.
