4/13/2021 - Absentee Ballots for Referendum are Available

Absentee ballot applications are available by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at 203-262-0657 and on the Town Website southbury-ct.org/absenteeballots for the Referendum on May 5, 2021 to vote on the Town of Southbury Budget and the Pomperaug Regional School District # 15 Budget. Registered electors of the Town or United States Citizens, who are eighteen years or older and own taxable property assessed at $1000.00 or more on the October 1, 2020 Grand List can vote in this referendum.

To obtain an absentee ballot, voters must complete an application. Once the completed application is received and verified by the Town Clerk’s office, a ballot will be issued either by mail or in person.

Completed applications may be returned by mail, deposited in the ballot drop box located at the Town Hall upper entrance, faxed to 203-264-9762, or scanned and emailed to townclerk@southbury-ct.gov. The original signed application must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office prior to the close of polls at 8:00 p.m. on May 5th 2021, in order for the ballot to be counted.

The Town Clerk’s Office is located at Southbury Town Hall, 501 Main Street South and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Those seeking additional information or an application may call the office at 203-262-0657.
