REFERENDUM

6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Pursuant to Sections 7-6 and 7-7 of the General Statutes of Connecticut registered electors of the Town of Southbury or United States Citizens, eighteen years or older, owning taxable property assessed at $1,000.00 or more on the October 1, 2020 Grand List are hereby notified and warned that the Town of Southbury Budget and the Pomperaug Regional School District #15 Budget will be voted at a referendum. The referendum will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at the Main Street South Firehouse, 461 Main Street South, from 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. to vote by voting machine on the following questions:

QUESTION # 1

“Shall the Town of Southbury appropriate $21,580,558 for the municipal budget and approve the Special Revenue Funds appropriations for the fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022?”

QUESTION # 2

“Shall the proposed 2021-2022 Budget of the Pomperaug Regional School District #15 in the amount of $74,794,466 be adopted?”

 

Central counting of absentee ballots will be in Room 205, Southbury Town Hall, 501 Main Street South, Southbury, CT.

Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s Office, Southbury Town Hall, 501 Main Street South, Southbury or by calling 203-262-0657.
