5/12/2021 - Inland Wetlands Commission: Actions Taken at Meeting on May 11, 2021

The Southbury Inland Wetlands Commission took the following actions at their meeting on May 11, 2021 in Room 205 of Southbury Town Hall.

Having considered the factors and circumstances set forth in Section 4 of the regulations and having reviewed all information and reports received by the commission regarding these applications the following applications were approved.

Permitted Activity PA#041; 148 Old Woodbury Road; Mike and Mari O’Rourke, applicants; approval consists of clearing areas for solar panels, planting of blueberry bushes, and cutting assorted trees was approved as a permitted activity, with conditions.

Application #1667 Hollow Swamp Road; Town of Southbury, applicant; approval consists of milling and repaving of Hollow Swamp Road and replacement of four crossings matching the existing pipe size. The pipes will be lengthened approximately 4-5 feet at each end for shoulder work, with conditions.

Application #1668 Pomperaug Woods; 80 Heritage Road; Pomperaug Woods, Inc., applicant; approval consists of landscaping improvements with expanded walking trails and pathways (stone dust trails-decomposed granite with boardwalks extended across wetlands and upland review area), picnic area with tables, evergreen screening, proposed wetlands meadow with native wetland meadow mix, with conditions.

CEASE AND DESIST for 155 River Trail was lifted.

CEASE AND DESIST CONTINUED for 278 North Georges Hill Road.

CEASE AND DESIST for 1050 Main Street South was lifted as of April 22, 2021.
