“Southbury Celebration Committee is excited to host local area musical talent to perform before their family, friends, and community,” stated Co-chair Brian M. Jones. The Committee invites performers of all ages to submit music with an intergenerational appeal and to focus mostly on very recognizable cover songs. Music of all genres are welcomed (i.e.: Pop; Folk; Rock; Jazz; Standards; Broadway; etc.).
Performers may use live accompaniment or karaoke tracks. Due to size and time restrictions, we encourage groups to limit their group size to between 1 to 5 performers. The deadline for submission is Sunday, August 28, 2022 - extended to Thursday, September 8, 2022.
The Committee will review all submissions and choose the performers that fit the spirit of the event. Performers will be selected by Committee taking into consideration entertainment factor and available space on the program. They will be allocated 5 to 20 minutes to perform. The performers chosen will have the experience to perform in front of thousands from their community.
