7/19/2022 - Absentee Ballots Available for Democratic and Republican Primaries

Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s Office for the Primary on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Only registered Democratic and Republican electors are eligible to vote in the primary.

To obtain an absentee ballot, a registered voter must complete an application. Applications are available at the Town Clerk’s office, or printed from the town of Southbury website at southbury-ct.org/absenteeballots or the Secretary of the State’s website at portal.ct.gov/SOTS.

Once the completed application is received and verified by the Town Clerk’s office, a ballot will be provided.

Completed applications may be returned by mail, faxed to 203-264-9762 or emailed to townclerk@southbury-ct.gov, but the original signed application must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office prior to the close of polls at 8:00 P.M. on August 9, in order for the ballot to be counted.

The ballot may be returned in person, mailed or deposited in the Official Ballot Drop Box located at Town Hall, 501 Main Street South 06488, upper parking lot.
