1/19/2023 - Planning Commission: Action Taken at Meeting on January 17, 2023

At a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 the Southbury Planning Commission took the following actions:

VOTED to approve Special Exception, Planned Development Unit (PDU#17) for a Mixed Use Building, 7 Poverty Road; subject to administrative requirements.

VOTED to approve Special Exception & Site Plan Modification for a Table Serve Restaurant (Bevy Co.), 22 Poverty Road; subject to administrative requirements.

VOTED to forward a recommendation of denial to the Board of Selectmen (8-24 Referral) for the Golek request to Purchase TOS property (Peach Orchard Estates) West Flat Hill Road, Map 12/ Block 84/ Lot 21 as it limits accessibility to the adjoining Town open space, and the validity of the TOS property in question as open space.

VOTED to forward a recommendation of acceptance to the Board of Selectmen (8-24 Referral) for donated property (Marino) on Housatonic Trail (Berkshire Estates), Map 20A/ Block 11/ Lots 43-45, with the provision that there are no hazardous materials on the site; subject to administrative requirements.

VOTED to approve a Lot Line Revision (Harvey), 73 Tallwood Road, (Lots 15 & 15A); subject to administrative requirements.

VOTED to approve release of Underground Fire Water Storage Tank – Transylvania Brook Estates (Old Farms Road).
