In accordance with the provisions of Section 702E and 901 of the Southbury Town Charter, notice is hereby given that the Annual Town Meeting will be held at 5:00 P.M. May 1, 2023, in Room 205 of the Town Hall, 501 Main Street South, Southbury.
AGENDA:
1) Discussion of the 2023-2024 proposed municipal budget.
2) Discussion of appropriation and bond authorization for Ballantine Pool.
3) Resolution to extend the hours of voting at the referendum to 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The vote on the proposed municipal budget (Item 1 and 2) will be by referendum in accordance with Section 702E of the Southbury Town Charter. The referendum will be held on May 3, 2023 at the Main Street South Firehouse, 461 Main Street South, Southbury. The hours for voting will be from 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The questions will be:
“Shall the Town of Southbury appropriate $22,524,198 for the municipal budget and approve
the Special Revenue Fund appropriations for the fiscal year July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024?” |

Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s Office, Southbury Town Hall, 501 Main Street South, Southbury.
Registered Electors of the Town of Southbury or United States Citizens, who are eighteen years or older, owning taxable property assessed at $1,000.00 or more on the October 1, 2022 Grand List are eligible to vote at the referendum.
