Pursuant to Section 12-40 of the Connecticut General Statutes, notice is hereby given that all persons conducting business in the Town of Southbury must file with the Assessor’s Office a complete and accurate listing of all taxable personal property used in the conduct of that business.
Such filing is to take place on or before November 1, 2023. Persons failing to file by that date are subject to a 25% penalty added to their assessment. An extension of 45 days may be granted for good cause upon request.
Taxable personal property shall include (but is not limited to); unregistered motor vehicles, out-of-state registered motor vehicles, industrial machinery/equipment, commercial furniture/fixtures/equipment, data processing equipment, farm machinery/equipment, horses, leased equipment, etc.
