  • Year round monthly Medicare and Medicaid counseling
  • Weekly counseling during the annual Medicare Open Enrollment period
  • Discounted monthly haircuts
  • On site Municipal Agent, providing resources and support for all issues facing seniors and their families

"My hope is that any community member in the area who wants to be active and engaged at the center will come to meet our team and the people who are here on a regular basis,” said Senior Services Director Andrea Corcoran. “Coming to a new building and a new place can be intimidating, but meeting someone there first can make it a more comfortable experience and this open house will offer that opportunity.”

For more information on the services provided by the Southbury Senior Center, call during business hours and stop by for a tour. Team members are available between 8 a.m. and 4:30p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Friday to answer questions and discuss the events calendar.

“We hope that the open house will bring new seniors into the programs and bring people together that may have lived in the Southbury area all their lives and never met each other,” Corcoran said. “We have a fantastic base group of members who come in every week, but we would like to extend our welcome and the opportunity to join us to everyone.”

Registration is required. Please call the center at 203-262-0651 to sign up for the Open House programs offered.
