LEGAL NOTICE
TAX PAYERS OF SOUTHBURY, CT

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Southbury that all real estate, personal property and motor vehicle tax bills on the October 1, 2023 grand list are due and payable July 1, 2024. The last day to pay these taxes without an interest charge is August 1, 2024.

If taxes due, or any portion thereof, are not paid on or before August 1, 2024, interest will be charged from the original due date of July 1, 2024 at the rate of 1.5% per month (18% annually) and subject to a $2.00 minimum - per CT State Statute 12-146.

Failure to receive a tax bill does not waive the tax obligation and interest penalties (Sec. 12-130).

Your cancelled check is your receipt. If paying by mail and a receipt is desired, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope along with payment and the appropriate payment stub(s). Be advised our processing center will not send a receipt.

Debit card, credit card and e-check payments can be made via our online tax system at www.southbury-ct.org/tax or by telephone (1-866-843-5096). Please note that the vendor charges a service fee.

Retention of the bill is necessary.
