12/27/2024 - Southbury Board of Selectmen Appoints New Member

At a meeting held on December 19, 2024, the Southbury Board of Selectmen appointed Anne Armeno to serve as a Selectman to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of State Representative-elect Jason Buchsbaum. We want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Buchsbaum for all his hard work and dedication in serving as a member of the Board of Selectmen.

Selectman Armeno has been a Southbury resident for over 30 years. She currently works in Southbury at CM Property Management, as an Administrative Assistant to the company’s Property Managers. Her volunteer commitment to Southbury has spanned over 15 years. She is a member of the Charter Revision Commission, served as chair of the Economic Development Commission, and as a member of task forces and commissions over the years. Outside of volunteering for the town, she also has been a past Chairman of the Southbury Republican Town Committee, past Board Member of the Southbury Food Bank, and the CT Valley Region Porsche Club.

“Having been on many boards and commissions in our wonderful town, I can appreciate the responsibility and importance of public service in our community,” said Selectman Armeno. “It is truly an honor and privilege to be given the opportunity to serve the town and its residents as a Selectman. I look forward to working with the Board to maintain and improve the quality of life in Southbury.”
