On Monday, January 13, 2025, U.S. Small Business Administration District Director Catherine Marx will join U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal to discuss the passage of the American Relief Act, which provided funding for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Loan Program. With this funding, which required Congressional approval, the SBA can resume processing urgently needed financial relief for those impacted by natural disasters across the nation, including Connecticut’s Presidential Declared Disaster.
Although funding has lapsed, applications continue to remain open for those impacted by the incident: SEVERE STORM, FLOODING, LANDSLIDES, AND MUDSLIDES occurring: August 18 - 19, 2024. The SBA encourages those impacted to learn more about what is available in their community and apply for disaster loans at lending.sba.gov, until Sunday, January 19th for physical damage claims, and June 20th for economic injury claims.
