DIRECTOR OF TOURISM'S LISTENING TOUR

Southbury and Newtown’s Economic Development offices recently partnered with the Western CT Tourism District to bring Connecticut’s new Director of Tourism, Rachel Lenda, to our region for a final stop on her statewide “Listening Tour”. It was held at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards on May 20, 2024. Owners and operators of qualified local tourist destinations learned how they may maximize their presence through free listings on the popular CTVISIT website – visited by nearly 9 million just last year! The administrator for our Western CT district is Terry Macary, and can be reached at TMacary@waterburychamber.com.
