Event Information

When in the opinion of the Fire Code Official, It is essential for public safety in a place of assembly or any other place where people congregate, because off the number of persons, or the nature of performance, exhibition, display, contest or activity the Fire Marshal may require additional Fire Fighters to perform fire watch. If the Fire Marshal is requiring more or fewer personnel, the FM will contact you.

The applicant further acknowledges that failure to notify the Fire Department of cancellation of the event at least 72 hours prior to the date and time of the scheduled event, the event applicant/organizer will still be required to make payment to the Southbury Fire Department for the firefighters scheduled.

Fire Watch Rate: $35 per hour per firefighter, with a 4-hour minimum for each.
