12/18/2025 - Southbury Library Seeking Submissions for its Third Tiny Art Show
The Southbury Public Library invites interested community members of all ages to submit artwork to its third annual Tiny Art Show; all submissions must be on supplied 4-by-4 inch canvases and are due by Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Submitted artwork will be included in the 2026 Tiny Art Show on display in the Fireplace Room of the Southbury Public Library from Thursday, February 12, 2026, through Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Make some art for the Southbury Public Library’s 2026 Tiny Art Show! Your only limit is a 4x4” canvas: use any art style or medium you like as long as it fits. For all ages and artist skill levels.
Submission requirements:
- Must be on supplied 4-by-4 inch canvases, but can be any medium or style (painting, drawing, sewing, etc.) as long as it is on or attached to the provided canvas. Canvases can be picked up from the First or Second Floor Circulation Desks beginning Friday, December 26, 2025, and continuing throughout the submission period.
- Due by 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
- There is no age or town residency requirement for submitting artists.
Important Dates:
- December 26, 2025 - February 4, 2026: Canvases available for pickup from the library's First and Second Floor Circulation Desks
- Sunday, January 11, 2026: Kits including paints and brushes available for pick up from the library's First Floor Circulation Desk while supplies last
- Saturday, January 17, 2026: Drop In Paint Day, with all supplies provided. Work on a painting for the Tiny Art Show in a supportive group environment.
- Wednesday, February 4, 2026: All submissions are due by 5:30 p.m. to the First or Second Floor Circulation Desk
- Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 7-8 p.m.: Tiny Art Show Unveiling & Reception in the library’s Fireplace Room
- Thursday, February 12, 2026 - Tuesday, March 31, 2026: Tiny Art Show on display in the Fireplace Room during library open hours
- Wednesday, April 8, 2026: Artists can begin picking up their artwork from the library’s Reference Desk
