5/19/2026 - Leonardo's Top Inventions on June 19, 2026

On Thursday, June 19, 2026 from 2-3:30pm on Zoom and streamed to our Kingsley Room, join us for a virtual program and learn more about inventions of Leonardo da Vinci.

Although Leonardo da Vinci may be most famous for his art masterpieces like “Mona Lisa,” he actually spent more time working on his scientific and technological studies. Join us as we explore the inventions and innovations of Leonardo da Vinci.

Led by Dr. Bill Thierfelder, a retired college professor who taught a variety of Arts and Humanities courses for 32 years at several New York universities and colleges, including St. John's University and Dowling College. He holds a Ph.D. in English, with minors in theater, art history and music history.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. This program is sponsored by the Charles H. and Ella Emery Rutledge Fund. Registration is required. Zoom invitation links will be sent via email on the day of the program.
