4/6/2019 - The Bill of Rights: What it meant; what it means; and why we often get it wrong on May 16, 2019

On Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6-8pm, in the Kingsley Room, Stephen McGrath will discuss the Bill of Right, and the rights they provide to the average person at Southbury Public Library.

Join us to hear Professor Stephen McGrath discuss the Bill of Rights. Professor McGrath will discuss the history of the Bill of Rights, as well as delve into the individual rights. Discussion will also include what the Bill of Rights means to individuals as citizens.

Stephen McGrath is a professor at Central Connecticut State University. He received is M.A. in History from Trinity College. He has given many lectures around the state of Connecticut and is a member of the Association of American Historians.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this presentation is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Space is limited and registration is required.
