7/3/2019 - The Rutledge Summer Series: A Universe of Stories Presents The Elvis Tribute Show

On Friday, August 2, 2019 from 7-9pm, put on your blue suede shoes and join us for the conclusion of our Rutledge Summer Series!

Elvis tribute artist Lamar Peters will be bringing his performance to the Southbury Public Library. Peters takes you back to the best of 1950s Elvis rockabilly and on through the ‘60s and ‘70s of Elvis Presley's career. Sit back and enjoy this blast from the past from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Lamar Peters followed in his father’s footsteps as an Elvis tribute artist, and is now New York's top Elvis tribute artist. Peters was the first Elvis tribute artist to perform at the B.B. King Blues Club in Times Square in New York City. He has also toured with the Heart of the King Ambassadors Show Production and has placed top 3 in the Ultimate Elvis Presley tribute contest sponsored by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Peters also performs his Gentleman’s Show, a 2 hour review featuring crooners from Frank Sinatra to Michael Buble.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this presentation is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Space is limited and registration is required. Please call 203-262-0626 ext. 130 to register. The Rutledge Summer Series was made possible by the Charles H. and Ella Emery Rutledge Fund.
