On Friday, September 13 from 7-8pm in the Brinker Fireplace room, join us as violinist Alyce Cognetta Bertz and pianist Meg Cognetta Heaton return to the Southbury Library for this classical music concert.
Alyce and Meg will be performing pieces by Beethoven, Dvorak, Kreisler, and more.
Alyce Cognetta Bertz is well-known in the area for her versatile and vivacious performance style. Alyce is the concertmaster of both the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra and The Burning Man Playa Pops Orchestra in Black Rock City, Nevada.
Pianist Meg Cognetta Heaton began piano lessons at the Whale Church in Stamford Connecticut. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, she teaches at Hobart and William Smith colleges in Geneva, New York. Meg is a member of the Tuesday Piano Quartette, a group devoted to the enjoyment of eight-hand piano repertoire and is active in the Finger Lakes region accompanying choral groups, Suzuki classes and soloists.
