3/18/2021 - The 19th Amendment: A Tale of Suffrage, Sacrifice, and Success on April 20, 2021

On Tuesday, April 20th, 2021 from 1-2:30pm on Zoom, join us for this lively and engaging presentation commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

Guest speaker Mariann Millard will be detailing how suffrage was achieved and the many obstacles suffragettes overcame in their fight for civil rights.

Mariann Millard is a Licensed Washington, DC Guide and a certified Tour Director who specializes in Italy. She thoroughly enjoys entertaining folks with her love of history to connect people, places and things.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.
