TEEN PROGRAMS:
Teen DIY To Go: Felt Bird Bookmarks – Starting Monday, May 10 while supplies last.
Pick up complete kits to make a felt bird bookmark from the Teen Department starting Monday, May 10. International Migratory Bird Day was on Saturday, May 8 this year, but we want to celebrate birds the entire month. You can choose between two birds that travel to be in Connecticut during May: the blue-green tree swallow or yellow and gray Connecticut warbler. Each kit will have instructions and all supplies needed (except scissors). You can work on the kits in your own time, or you can wait and work on them together with us during our Virtual Meetup!
Food Explorers: Cheesy Broccoli Orzo – Wednesday, May 12, 5-6pm on Zoom
Join Katie, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to make Cheesy Broccoli Orzo for dinner! This im-pasta-bly good meal is as tasty as it is easy to prepare. Space is limited so Katie has time to answer individual questions and walk everyone through this program. Grades 6-12. Registration required.
Math and Science Help Online – Thursday, May 13 & 27, 5-6pm on Zoom
Get one-on-one, individualized help with your math and science questions from an experienced STEM tutor! Come to any or all sessions to get help with homework, an upcoming exam, or understanding concepts. Our tutor is Triloshan, a senior at Pomperaug High School who has been tutoring in math and science since middle school and currently tutors at Kumon. He has experience in many AP math and science classes, and enjoys tutoring at all levels of STEM topics. Grades 6-12. Registration required.
