4/26/2021 - The Great One - Jackie Gleason on May 27, 2021

On Thursday, May 27th, 2021 from 1-2:30pm on Zoom, join us for this fun and informative lecture about famed actor Jackie Gleason.

Join us to learn about Jackie Gleason, one of the greatest American entertainers of all time: Stand up comic, situation comedian, dramatic actor, writer, director and producer, and arranger of music. Gleason appeared in vaudeville, night clubs, Broadway, was a stock player for Warner Brothers, and became a television icon, noted for the Honeymooners and the Jackie Gleason Show.

Mark Albertson is the historical research editor for the Army Aviation magazine, and the historian for the Army Aviation Association of America. He has taught classes on military history at Norwalk Community College as well as the Lifetime Learners Institute. Albertson has authored several books on military history.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.
